Gerald Harlan Hogshead

Gerald Harlan Hogshead, age 86, passed away February 20, 2017 at Baptist Hospital Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Born April 10, 1930 in Kansas , Illinois he was the son of the late Harlan and Gladys Hogshead. He was a retired traffic manager of a trucking company. He was a member of the Nazarene Church of Heber Springs.

Gerald “Jerry” was a college graduate and taught high school English before working in the trucking business.

His family stated he was a very happy person  always in a good mood. He enjoyed fishing and golfing as hobbies. He dearly loved his family.

He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Hogshead and a step-daughter, Rochelle Mourglia.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred Hartley Baumann Hogshead; two sons, David Hogshead of Ohio and John Hogshead of Indiana; six step-children, Donna Lukach of Arvada, Colorado, David Baumann of Arvada, Colorado, Charlie Baumann of Searcy, Arkansas, Carl Baumann of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ken Baumann of Pangburn, Arkansas; sister, Joann Rardin  of Mattoon, Illinois; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many friends.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2017 at Heber Springs Cemetery with Rev. George Petry officiating. Heber Springs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online Obit: www.heberspringsfuneralhome.com
