Yvonne (Kinchen) Hartley

Yvonne Kinchen Hartley, age 87, was born in Hollywood, MO in 1936 to Ruth and Ernest Kinchen, grew up in Arbyrd, MO and graduated from Arbyrd High School. After graduation, she attended and graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in education. After graduation from ASU, she became a public school teacher—a life-long career. In 1955, she married Robert "Bob" Hartley and settled in Kansas City, MO. They had one daughter, Yvette, who lives in Texas with her husband, Martin. After retirement, Bob and Yvonne settled in Heber Springs where they attended The Vineyard Church. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary before Bob’s passing in 2016. Yvonne passed away on October 4th, 2023 of ovarian cancer.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, two brothers, and one half brother. She and Bob were grateful for the help that Sandra Davis gave them during their latter years. Her memorial service will be announced at a later date. She and Bob are buried in Lulu Cemetery in Hollywood, MO where 36 of Yvonne’s family members lay at rest.
