William Curtis Johnson

William Curtis Johnson (Curt), age 80, passed away on May 14, 2022 after a long battle with cancer.

Lifetime resident of Wilburn, Arkansas, Curt visited his out of state family during his time as a long haul truck driver. He was a great storyteller and a wonderful ambassador for his beloved state of Arkansas. With his wit and gift for storytelling, he left friends wherever he went. His infectious laugh and turn of phrase will be missed by anyone lucky enough to have had a brush with this dynamic man. Curt loved his family, his dogs, hunting, fishing and his books.

Curt is survived by his brother David and his wife Earlene of Heber Spring, Arkansas; former wife and mother of his two boys, Alice Faye Johnson; sons, Marcus Johnson and Jason Johnson (Heike Johnson sp); Grandchildren: Elliot Johnson, Elisabeth Johnson, Hannah Johnson and Ian Johnson of Washington State; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors that will miss his humor and above all his loving kindness.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Carl (Doc) Johnson and Mabel Iona Snelling Johnson, along with eight of his siblings:  Laura Louise, Ida Pauline, Betty Sue, Robert Carl Jr (Sonny), Wilbur Dale, Norman Dean, Harley Glenn and Ivan Carl.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Heber Springs Humane Society.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Magness cemetery in Wilburn, Arkansas.
