William Lee (W.L. - Dub) Doyle, age 88, moved from his Heber Springs home to his heavenly home on December 8, 2023. He was the only child of George and Elma Hunt Doyle. He grew up and attended school at Caraway, Arkansas. After graduation, he served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith and a long time member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church. 

After his military service, he started his career in the insurance world. He retired from Aetna Life Casualty after many years as a Property Claims Adjuster and lastly, the Property Claims Manager in Louisville, Kentucky. After retirement, Dub returned to Arkansas and worked part time as an independent adjuster. He was a kind, witty, very patriotic, generous person who never met a stranger. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. 

Dub was an avid sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, Razorbacks, and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved country music and John Wayne movies. 

Dub was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Brent Doyle, 9/1/2014.

He is survived by his wife, Peggye Barker Doyle of 63 years; son, Kirk (Debbie) Doyle of Mt. Vernon, Arkansas; three step grandchildren and their families, Malorie Wheeler of Springfield, Missouri, Rachel Terry and Taylor Cash of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many extended family members and a wonderful friends. He loved all the Barker nieces and nephews as his own.
