William Darrell Byrd, age 71, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born May 6, 1950 in Ida, Arkansas to the late Luther P. Byrd and Edith Lacy Byrd.

Darrell worked road construction, for just a few years, directly after graduating from high school until he was diagnosed with lifelong health issues. He enjoyed deer hunting, squirrel hunting, fishing, and almost all sports.  He was a huge Arkansas Razorback sports fan, especially Razorback football and basketball.

He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Reo Byrd, Bob Byrd, Jim Byrd, Wade Byrd, and Leon Byrd; and two sisters, Jean Byrd Davenport, and Sharlene Byrd.

Darrell is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Byrd Foote (Tom) of Greenville, Michigan, and Lavon Byrd Stroud (Boyce) of Batesville, Arkansas; and many extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Visitation is from 1:00pm – 2:00pm followed by a Graveside Service at 2:00pm on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Ida, Arkansas.
