Wendell Thurman Bittle, age 84, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born October 22, 1940 in Prim, Arkansas to the late James Thurman Bittle and Ocie Fern Knapp Bittle. He was happily married to Betty C. Appleberry for 57 years before her passing. 

Wendell was the owner and operator of Enterprise Electronics, better known as Radio Shack for many years. He took great pride and joy in his work. He loved to work with electronics. He was a very intelligent man and had a natural ability to fix anything as well as being able to tear down and put things back together. He loved to go out in his RV, listen to gospel music and play his guitar. Most of all, he loved to hear his wife sing with her angelic voice. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Betty C. Appleberry. 

Wendell is survived by his son, James Weston Bittle (James Benton Moon) of Seneca, South Carolina; daughters, Brenda Bittle of Drasco, Arkansas, Angela Acord (Henry) of Hackett, Arkansas, and Wendy Harris (Nick) of Coalville, England; sisters, Norma Jean Martin (Sherlon) of Heber Springs, Kay Davis Goree (Lloyd) of Heber Springs, and Kathy Moody of Tumbling Shoals; nine grandchildren, Bryan Seymore, Jared Seymore, Shawna Weaver, Joshua Woodson, Micah Small, Catherine Acord, Emily Harris, Jessica Harris, and Madelyn Harris; seven great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and wonderful friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
