Wayne Frederick Myrsten, age 90, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Southridge Nursing Home. He was born June 7, 1930 in Escanaba, Michigan the son of the late Frederick and Norma Myrsten. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after serving twenty years in the US Air Force. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a hard worker and after retirement from the Air Force spent twenty years working with cable TV and General Electric. Wayne enjoyed wood working and loved the outdoors. He was known for keeping impeccable records. He was a God-fearing man who loved his family and was liked by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Norma Myrsten and one brother, Bob Myrsten.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Warren Myrsten of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two sons, Kenneth Myrsten of California and David Myrsten of Heber Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Lisa Chambers (Travis) of Quitman, Arkansas; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many friends.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020, 10:00 am at Heber Springs Funeral Home with Steve Adams officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Military Honors will be conducted by the Jacksonville Air Force Base Honor Guard.
