Thomas Coats

Thomas E. Coats (63) of Conway Arkansas passed away on April 2, 2020. He was born on December 27, 1956 to William E. Coats and Jimmy Lue Coffee Coats (Liles). Tom attended Batesville High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Central Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cheri Coats and son, William “Alex” Coats (Rachel), sister Karen Lange and many other family and friends. Tom loved the outdoors and could pilot anything from a canoe to a small airplane. He was also an avid shooter and belonged to several shooting communities. Tom worked for N&D Technical Services as a Network Engineer until his illness prevented it. Many said he had a “magical” ability with computers. Tom loved his family and friends with a generous and fierce heart. He was a firm believer in education and helping others and gave of himself to those in need. Tom will be sorely missed. The family is especially grateful to Dr. Blair Greenwood and Arkansas Hospice for the care he received during his last days.

Memorials can be made to the giver’s choice in donation or deed.

A celebration of his life will be scheduled when those who love him are able to attend.
