Thelma Irene Newman, age 83, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at The Springs of Greers Ferry. She was born on July 7, 1940 in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Edward Dale Miller and Cordie Bell Cagle.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Newman; her parents; son, Robert Dale Newman; brothers, Fred Miller, Dene Miller, LE Miller; three sisters, Helen Kearns, and Alliene Hicks, Lorene Chapman.
Thelma is survived by her sons, Carlos Newman, John Newman, and Gerald Newman of Wilburn, Arkansas; brother, Herbert Miller of Concord, Arkansas; sister, Mina Gene Sartain of Ida, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Thelma loved to fish and work in her garden. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
