Terry Lapple, age 74 of Tumbling Shoals passed away April 29, 2021 at CHI St. Vincent in Little Rock. He was born August 13, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Charles and Esther Lapple. He was an Army veteran and retired postal worker.

Terry served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1972. He was a Combat Infantryman and was awarded two Purple Hearts during combat operations in Vietnam. He later worked for the US Postal service and the North Pulaski Volunteer Fire Department, and upon retirement, he and his beloved wife, Betty, moved to Tumbling Shoals. He became a lifetime member of the VFW.  He has been an active member of the Tumbling Shoals-Ida Volunteer Fire Department and a larger than life much-loved member of the community. To know Terry was to have a friend. He had a heart bigger than this world and never met a stranger. Airbrakes would spend many hours visiting with his friends whom he always "had a lot of fun" with. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, brother George, and sister Barbara.

Survivors include sons; Keith McDaniel (Amber) of Vilonia, Arkansas, Terry R. McDaniel (Vanessa) of Poteau, Oklahoma, Steve A. McDaniel (Shawn) of Riverside, California, Timothy McDaniel of Gould, Arkansas, and Leroy Akridge (Judith) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Heber Springs Baptist Church, 1710 Arkansas Business N, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. A visitation will be Monday, May 3, 2021 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm. Interment will be at Magness Cemetery.
