Steve Williams of Heber Springs departed his earthly home on August 23, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on December 15, 1953, being the second son of Ellen and William (Mell) Williams. When Steve was a young boy, the family moved to Watkinsville, GA where he loved raising cows and served as Vice President of Future Farmers of America while in high school. Steve obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from the University of Georgia, home of his beloved Bulldogs.

After graduation, Steve moved to Ohio where he raised his two daughters, Melanie and Jessica, and spent the majority of his career there in commercial greenhouse sales.

In 2004, he moved to Heber Springs and soon began working for F.L. Davis. In 2008, he married the love of his life, Rhonda, and spent the next years of his life enjoying the lake, vacationing in Florida, cooking on the grill, and being with family and friends.

Steve is survived by his wife Rhonda, his daughters Melanie Johnson (Derek) and Jessica Bhadauria (Raj), three grandsons, Calvin, Miles, and Sam, and his brother, Charles (Chuck) Williams. He is also survived by three bonus-sons Jon, Sabin, and Corbin Ewing.

Steve will be remembered for his dry sense of humor balanced by his tender heart, his hardworking nature, and his love for cats and the Rolling Stones.
