Steven C. Bell, age 83, passed away on September 27, 2024. He was born on November4, 1940, in Wynne, Arkansas to the late Audie and Ruby Marie Bell.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Brian Stephen Bell of Tumbling Shoals, AR.

Stephen is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara Bell of Tumbling Shoals, AR; his daughter, Stephanie Varghese of Tumbling Shoals, AR; one brother, Mark Bell; one sister, Joan Welch of Marion, AR; his daughter-in-law, Dana Bell Blaylock of Collierville, TN; three grandchildren, Brian Keith Bell (Sarah Beth) of Bartlett, TN, Brandon Bell of Collierville, TN, and Ethan Varghese of Overland Park, KS; and one great-grandchild, Archie Lee Bell.

Stephen was a warehouse worker J.I. Case. He and his wife, Barbara, raised their children, Stephanie and Bryan in Memphis, TN then moved to Tumbling Shoals after they retired 20 years ago.  Stephen was a patient, calm, kind, peaceful, intelligent, and gentle man.

He loved reading American literature, specifically, William Faulkner and Earnest Hemingway. His love of reading was matched with his love of Blues and Jazz music such as Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, and Count Basie. His love of reading and music was embraced and inherited by both of his children. When there are good books on the shelf and good music playing in a house, it makes a happy home with cherished memories.

The family will begin receiving visitors at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Heber Springs Funeral Home. The funeral service to honor the life of Stephen Bell will begin at 2:00 pm with Bro. Robert Osborn officiating.  All Service are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, 1323 W. Keiser Ave, Osceola, AR 72370.

 Stephen was very loved, and he will be greatly missed.
