Shirley J. “Jeanie” Newsom, age 61, of Edgemont, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at her home. She was born October 10, 1962 in Fair Oaks, Arkansas to the late Edward Moncrief and Shirley Thomas.
Jeanie was a daughter, wife, mother, aunt, grandma, and great-grandma to her wonderful family. She enjoyed listening to music and playing bingo.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Moncrief; and brother-in-law, Thomas Watson.
Jeanie is survived by her husband, Michael Newsom; three sons, Daniel Justice (Amber), Carl Justice, and Trent Justice (Cheri); daughter, Cheri Justice; two sisters, Peggy Watson, and Tina Tharp (Joey); brother, Edward John Moncrief “Eddie John”; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Earl Bradley; eleven grandchildren, Destiny Miles (Kevin), Christina Justice, Bentlee Justice, Madison McNett, Braxton McNett, Preston Black, Audrey Black, Jamison Justice, Andrew Justice, Bradyn Shelton, and Evyn Shelton; and great-grandchild, Valaree Miles.
She will be loved and missed by everyone who loved and knew her.
