Shirley Sue (Catt) Flowers Obituary

Shirley Sue Flowers, Grandma/Mawma, went to heaven to see her Savior and Lord on May 6,2026, at the young age of 80. She was in her home surrounded by her beloved family. She was full of strength, faith and life, loving her Lord with all her heart.

She was born in Thorn-grove, Arkansas but made Heber Springs her home to raise her four children, Carla Neiss, Lana Ables, Chad Cruce, and Amy Cruce. She lived her life as an example to her children raising them in church and instilling in them the love for the Lord and a strength that was quiet but mighty.

Her love and convictions only grew as her grandchildren came along. Kaidee, Maebrie, and Garrett (Chad and Kim’s children) and Parker (Woody and Lana’s child). Once they came along, you could rarely visit her without her having at least a couple of them at her home planning tea parties, water day, or constructing makeshift tents.

Her love and passion most recently were bestowed upon her great grands, Averie Rose, Hudson Ray and Easton Mack (Austin and Kaidee’s children). As her strength weaned, you would find them piled in the bed with her painting nails, dressing up like princesses or superheroes. There was nothing more precious.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Dale Logan and Hazel Eliza Catt; her husband, William Flowers; her siblings Doris (Gene) Bell; Betty (Doin) Bowers, Ronald Catt and Gironde (Bob) Stevens. She is survived by her son Chad (Kimberly) Cruce; her daughters Carla Neiss, Lana (Woody) Ables, and Amy Cruce. Grandchildren Kaidee (Austin) Wilkie, Maebrie Cruce, Garrett Cruce, and Parker (Steilee) Ables; great grands, Averie, Hudson and Easton Mack; her brothers Jack Catt, Larry (Shirley) Catt, Roger Catt, Garry Catt and her sister Dena (Bobby) Dodd; sister in law Judy Catt. She also leaves behind many treasured nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by her faith, love and graciousness.
