Roy Ewell Meadows

Roy Ewell Meadows, JR went to be with the Lord April 1, 2021 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born December 20, 1933 in Sedgewick, Arkansas to the late Roy Ewell Meadows, SR and Delphia Smelser Meadows. He was an Airforce veteran and a member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs.

Mr. Roy was very personable and never met a stranger. He was an active member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church serving as Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the official Church Board for many years. His hobbies included playing golf and church work.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Delma Laverne Billingsley Meadows.

Survivors include one daughter, Karol Diane Meadows of Wilburn, Arkansas; one son, David Meadows of Wilburn, Arkansas; one grandson, Joshua Kennedy (Jill) of Searcy, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Garrett Kennedy, Emileigh Kennedy and Lily Kennedy; other extended family members and many friends.

The family wanted to personally acknowledge the wonderful care afforded Mr. Meadows by Darlene Hampton and the whole staff at The Springs Nursing Home in Searcy, Arkansas.

There will be a visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am, Monday, April 5, 2021. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am Monday, April 5, 2021 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with Brother Tony Criswell officiating.  

The interment will be at Pearson Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas.

The American Post 64 will present military honors at the cemetery.

Heber Springs Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
