Rosalee Jean Dorrance West Turney of Drasco AR passed away at Mountain Meadows Nursing and Rehab, Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born in Kalamazoo County, Michigan July 6, 1938. At the age of 7 she was adopted by Alfred and Natalia Dorrance. 

Rosalee was preceded in death by her parents, Max West husband of 6 years; Danny Turney husband of 56 years; one son, Timothy Turney; one great-grandson, Kobe Warden.

She is survived by one son, Larry West and wife  Lynette of Drasco, 3 daughters, Lori West Green and husband Rick of Quitman, Donise Turney Bunch and husband Terry of Bethesda, and Penny Turney Rolins and her husband Carl of Heber Springs.  Rosalee has 11 grandchildren:  Frances, Rebecca , Kayla,Terren, Cody,Kora, Sami Mae, Madison, Maddie, Dani Rose & David.  She has 4 great grandchildren:  McKinley, Weston, Rylan & Layton. Rosalee had many other relatives and friends.

Rosalee was a mother to 2 daughters through the Exchange Student Program.  Yurina (u-ti-kah) Morisawa of Japan and Romana Chalupska of Czech Republic.  

Rosalee was a Sunday School Teacher at Draco General Baptist Church for many years.  She touched the lives of many boys and girls who came to know Jesus because of her teaching.  She was also a Homemaker, School Bus Driver  and a Paraprofessional  at Concord Schools; she retired after 41 years.  If you ever received a candybar and pencil from her at Christmas you know how special a bus driver she was.  She was a friend and mentor to many students. She loved every student and all the students loved her.  

Rosalee loved her church, she loved her family and friends.  She was crazy about her grandchildren, but most of all she loved her Father in Heaven and Lord Jesus Christ.
