Ronnie Joe Sanford Sr.

Ronnie Joe Sanford, Sr., 63, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2022 at Baptist Hospital-Springhill surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 21, 1958 to the late Jasper and Irene Sanford (Blankensopp) in Little Rock.   

He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons, Ronnie Jr. (Candice), Adam (Jacki); daughter, Shannon (Tim), Andrea (James); grandchildren, Jon, Sarah, Andrew, Josh, Katelyn, Alyssa, Caleb, and Jase; 12 great grandchildren and one very special and loyal friend, Bonka.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Matthew.

Ronnie was a loving husband.  He loved his family and many friends.  He never met a stranger.  Ronnie came to know the Lord in the last few years of his life, leading to his salvation and baptism.  He was a member of Cleburne County Baptist Church.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife, watching westerns especially John Wayne, a good steak, and showering “the black dog" with attention.  He had a natural talent for fixing things and enjoyed his career servicing industrial cranes until health issues forced him to retire early. 

A memorial will be held at Cleburne County Baptist Church 1111 S. 6th Street, Heber Springs, AR 72543 on June 11, 2022 @ 11 am with Bro. Tim Crumpton officiating.  All are invited to a meal provided immediately following the service.  Private burial will be held at a later date.
