Robert Leo Dupasquier, age 100, of Edgemont, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his own home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was born March 4, 1923 in Oregon City, Oregon to Antoine and Oliva (Lesage) Dupasquier.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Joann Dupasquier of Wood Dale, Illinois, They were married in 1952 and divorced in 1995; girlfriend, Virginia Sparks (Ginny) of Arkadelphia; and two brothers, Aurele and Henry.
He is survived by his children, Anthony (Valerie), Harry (Jeanne), Thomas (Kelly), and Mary (Karen).; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, April, Kelly, Clark, Matthew, and Ashley; seven great-grandchildren, Grace, Jake, Zoe, Kennedy, Carter, Parker, and Phoebe.
Bob came to Canada and grew up in Notre Dame, Manitoba, Canada with his brothers Aurele, Henry, Romeo, and Maurice. As a young man in Canada, he was in the Canadian army and left with an honorable discharge to join the United States Army. He was a paratrooper in WWII. He started his own business in Franklin Park, Illinois, Aro Metal Stamping. He moved it to Addison, Illinois before turning it over to his son Tony.
He liked to travel and bought an airplane. During his travels, he found Greers Ferry, Arkansas. He bought property there where he often vacationed with his family. When he retired, he built his retirement home and lived there until his death. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He asked for no Memorial Service.
