Robert " Bo" Belli Obituary

Robert Neal “Bo” Belli, 32, passed away Friday, February 22 in Enola.

Bo’s story began on Friday, November 7th, 1986 in Heber Springs. The sea was angry that day my friends, yet Fred Belli & Carrie Moody were still overjoyed to welcome their precious new son into this world with “hair as red as his temper” according to one of the nurses at his delivery.  The Belli trio was now a quartet and the siblings had many adventures together, created much havoc and in the process formed a one of a kind bond that nothing in this world or beyond could ever break.

Bo graduated from Heber Springs High School in 2005. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from ITT Technical Institute Little Rock where he was a member of the Alpha Beta Honor Society. After entertaining several very tempting offers from Art Vandelay and Kel Varnsen to join the latex division at Vandelay Industries as their star latex salesman, he eventually decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, partnering with his dad at Belli Tile. He proudly worked side by side with his father for the remainder of his life and livened up many job sites with his jokes and wonderful sense of humor.

Bo loved making everyone around him laugh and smile. He was well known for his amazing sense of humor and his infectious laughter. You always knew you could depend on Bo to count your shrimp, buddy! He also enjoyed cars & hot rods, not watching sports, spending time with his family and many friends and singing & playing guitar, especially with his brother Charlie & his sister Melody. It’s rumored that he has been called the songbird of his generation by people who have heard him… that good. Bo had recently been looking into getting metal legs, he knew it was a risky procedure but also knew it would be worth it. He was also an avid supporter of the chocolate milk industry. Bo was kind of a big deal. People knew him. He was very important.

His true passion in life and number one priority was being a devoted father to his two beautiful daughters, Audrey & Alyssa. Bo was head over heels in love with fatherhood and his girls were his world. They were all he ever talked about and he loved telling everyone stories about all of the adorable little things they would do and say. He was their moon and they were his stars and he loved their mother Taylor Nickels with all of his heart.

Bo is survived by his father Fred C. Belli of Heber Springs; two daughters, Audrey Belli and Alyssa Belli of Heber Springs; three sisters, Michele Belli of Delaware, Melody Belli of Heber Springs, Haley Parker of Heber Springs; three brothers, Freddie Belli of Sherwood, Charlie Martin of Heber Springs, Cameron Lacy of Wilburn; grandparents Michele and Doug Jones of Heber Springs, Beverly Belli of Apple Valley, CA; Robert Neal and Anne Moody of Hot Springs. Also 13 nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Uncle Bo, a host of friends and an unverified uncle, Buck Melanoma of Chicago, IL.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carrie M. Moody of Drasco, his grandfather Fred C. Belli Sr. of Temecula, CA and his grandfather Robert F. Eaton of Heber Springs.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Bo’s honor at 1 pm on Friday March 8th at The Church of Latter Days Saints in Quitman. Everyone who knew and loved him is welcome to attend. So even if you are a low-talker, a close-talker or a high-talker, all are encouraged to bring & share their fondest memories and favorite stories of Bo.
