Rebecca Lou Kerst

Rebecca Lou Kerst age 59 of Greers Ferry, Arkansas passed away December 6, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 8, 1960 in Cherry Point, North Carolina the daughter of the late Alfred Eugene Kerst and Emma Jean Kerst of Greers Ferry. She was an active member of  West Side First Baptist Church of Greers Ferry.

Rebecca received her under-graduate degree in Social Work  from Ouachita University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She continued her education and received her Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.  

She loved antique collecting and documenting family history through extensive research and travel. Throughout her life, she was a Mom to many furry kids. She especially loved her little dogs.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father Alfred Eugene Kerst and brother John Kerst.

Survivors include her mother, Emma Jean Kerst of Greers Ferry; one brother, Paul Alfred Kerst (Cecilia) of Conway, Arkansas; one sister, Judi Foster (Jerry) of San Andreas, California; nieces and nephews, Katie Kerst, Lou Kerst, Brandon Foster and Rachel Page and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at West Side First Baptist Church in Greers Ferry with Pastor Doug Inzer officiating. The visitation will be 10:00 am at the church to service time at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the West Side First Baptist Church of Greers Ferry Building Fund.
