Obituary

Paul Alfred Woods, age 84, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born April 29, 1939 in Reedy, West Virginia to the late Thomas A. Wood and Mildred McCutchon Wood. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Paul served our great nation for 20 years in the United States Navy Aviation. He was an avid golfer, he loved to fish, hunt and he especially loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Wood; and one grandchild, Patrick Wood. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen L. Wood; son, Jeffrey P. Wood (Jami) of Greenwood, Arkansas; daughter, Jody Wood Putnam (Tom) of Panama City Beach, Florida; three brothers, Kenneth Wood, Richard Wood, and Jim Wood; sister, Beverly Nappi; two grandchildren, Christopher Wood, and Benjamin Wood; and a host extended family members and great friends.
