Willard “Paul” McNeese was called home to the Lord on May 15, 2021.

Paul was born on November 2, 1943 to Paul Gilbert McNeese and Anita Josephine (Copner) McNeese in Sandpoint, ID.  He was the third out of four siblings.   After graduating high school Paul served his country as a member of the United States Navy in the Armed Forces and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy he moved to Heber Springs and fell in love with Patsy Slaten.  They married in December 1967.  Paul served his community as a Heber Springs Police Officer, a Deputy for the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Department and a volunteer Firefighter for over 20 years.  He was a Mason and member of other organizations.  Paul served as a Deacon at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Heber Springs.  Paul accepted the Lord as his savior in his 30’s.  Paul loved his community and loved spending time with his friends at the Smoke House, where he could be seen at daily.

Paul is survived by his daughters, Pamela Lockard and husband Ben of Mountain View, AR and Patricia Ellis of Carmel, IN.  Three grandchildren, Lauren Hoffman and husband Matthew of Conway, AR; Alexis Powell and husband Jace of Little Rock, AR; Cordelia Ellis of Carmel, IN.  One great-grandson, Russell Hoffman of Conway, AR. Two sisters, Lillian Dower and Bonnie McBride and one brother, Robert McNeese all of Spokane, WA .  Paul is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Paul is proceeded in death by both of his parents and his loving wife, Patsy Gene (Slaten) McNeese.
