Nathan Johnson Obituary

Nathan Rocky Johnson, age 72, passed away on February 29, 2024 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born in St. Joseph, Michigan on December 24, 1951 to the late Norman D. and Lavelva J. Johnson. 

Rocky was the first of nine children and is survived by seven siblings: Three brothers, Rick Johnson, (Peggy) of Heber Springs, AR;  Carl Johnson, (Kay) of Heber Springs, AR;; Timothy Johnson of Tumbling Shoals, AR; Four sisters, Diane Johnson of Heber Springs, AR, Deana (Johnson) Collier, (Dave) of Alton NH;  Audrey Johnson of Heber Springs, AR; Peggy (Johnson) Brierly and late husband, Kevin of Heber Springs, AR; Aunt, Freda Foster (Johnny) of Hartford, MI; Uncle, David Johnson (Earlene) of Heber Springs, AR; and many family and friends. 

Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Anthony (Tony) Johnson.

Nathan was a graduate of Heber Springs High School.  He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and a Vietnam War Veteran. 

There will be no Memorial service, however Nathan was a 23+ year veteran of the military.  Full military honors will be performed at the gravesite of his parents at Magness Cemetery in Wilburn, AR at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
