Mildred Faye McKamie

Mildred Faye McKamie, age 89 of Heber Springs passed away May 20, 2020 at Unity Health in Searcy, Arkansas. She was born July 26, 1930, in Stephens, Arkansas the daughter of the late Cargile T. Rogers and Lola Young Rogers. She was an active member of Southside, Baptist Church in Heber Springs.

Mildred loved to crochet and made 100’s of caps and donated them to Children’s hospital and many other people.  In her younger days she loved to fish. In later years, she started adult coloring and also gave away her coloring pages.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dexter McKamie; and one brother, Thomas L. Rogers.

Survivors include two sisters, Jane Adams of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Betty Lou Bagwell of Hawthorne, Nevada; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 22, 2020 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior to service time. Reverend Elwin Ollar will be officiating. Interment will be in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens, Heber Springs, Arkansas.
