Melvin Wiedeman, 72, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Baptist Health, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 16, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Lucille and Marvin Wiedeman.
Melvin was a beloved husband, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his passion for sports, whether it was basketball, baseball, hockey, or football, especially his beloved Detroit Lions. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Wiedeman; his sisters, Sharon Jones and her husband Jerry, Sheila Gwaltney, and Sandra Wiedeman. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin Wiedeman Jr., Melton Wiedeman, and Mark Wiedeman.
A graveside service will be held at Wallace Cooper Family Cemetery, Concord, AR 72523, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Pallbearers will be: Evan Gwaltney, Adam Jarrett, Daniel Jones, Joshua Miller, Rikki Norton, Mitchell Shoulders, Dalton Strain, and Hunter Strain.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tim Foust and Tim Southerland.
