Maxine Irma Jean (Martin) Reeves, age 83, of Concord, Arkansas, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 at White River Health in Batesville Arkansas. She was born in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas on January 18, 1941 to the late Clyde E. Martin and Winona Spinks Martin. She was born in the front bedroom of the home she raised her family in and remained while her passing. 

She attended Concord Schools and graduated in 1959. She then attend Draughns Business College in Little Rock. As a small child, she helped her dad on their family dairy farm. 

In November of 1961 her and Oran married and lived in Little Rock. When returning to Wolf Bayou, she and Oran bought a family farm.There they raised cattle and chickens and also raised her family. She loved to cook, sew, garden, and landscaping. Maxine was a very private person. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. 

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Oran Wayne Reeves; her parents; and sister, Rexine Martin.  

She is survived her son, Shawn (Angela) Reeves of Concord; two daughters, Dawn (Alan) Jeffrey of Concord, and Shelley (Faron) Duncan of Concord; brother, Kevin Martin of Concord; sister, Patricia (Jim) Lacy of Ida; six grandchildren, Brandon (Jalesa) Reed of Batesville, Shawna (Jon) Ives of Batesville, Tiffany Duncan of Concord, Paige (Jonathon) Edwards of Batesville, Emanda Reeves of Concord, and Colton (Sarah) Reeves of Concord; and nine great-grandchildren, Emberlyn Rose, Michael Reed, Abigail Edwards, Rossann Reed, Laiken Buckman, Dottie Reed, Levi Buckman, Olivia Ives, and AJ Edwards; and many extended family members and friends. She will be missed by everyone who loved her. 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
