Marvin Irwin Helm, age 90, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born exactly 90 years to the day of his passing, on July 13, 1933 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Fred J. Helm and Amelia Hertz.

Marvin served 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired as with the rank of Major. He married the love of his life, Mary Lu Helm, on October 20, 1956 and was married for 66 years before his passing. He loved to fly. He also loved play and tinker with motorcycles, cars, boats, and practically loved anything with an internal combustion engine.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Helm; brother, Arthur C. Helm; sister, Fay J. Schleutker; and a granddaughter, Molly Geiger.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lu Helm; daughter Lori Trainor of Ida, Arkansas; daughter in law, Mary Ann Helm of Ida, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amy Helm, Amanda Stair, and Russel Helm; eleven great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and wonderful friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
