Martha Evelyn (Tilley) Mooneyhan

Martha Evelyn Tilley Mooneyhan of Heber Springs, AR went to be with Jesus on November 21, 2022 following a lengthy illness.  Evelyn was born to Tom and Dessie Tilley on January 3, 1939 in Marianna Arkansas.  She was a home health aide at the Cleburne County Health Department for twenty-five years and she owned and operated her own boarding home for individuals with disabilities for several years.  She loved to garden, sing, spend time with her kids and grandkids, and talk about her Lord.  She was a member of Heber Springs First Assembly of God and a prayer warrior for everyone she knew.

            Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Dessie Tilley; husband, Walter Brewer Mooneyhan, Jr.; a daughter, Martha Mooneyhan; son-in-law, David E. Headley; two grandsons, Daniel Headley and Joshua Carpenter; three sisters, Jewel Qualls, Norene Patterson, and Dorothy Stewart.

            Evelyn is survived by her children, Beverly Headley of Starkville, Mississippi, Cindy Carpenter of Hampton, Arkansas, Allen (Stacy) Mooneyhan of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Andrew (Christeena) Mooneyhan of Lakeland, Tennessee, and Walter Mooneyhan III (Stacey) of Rogers, Arkansas; a sister, Tommie Poff of Heber Springs, AR; seventeen grandchildren, Jonathan Headley (Courtney) of Starkville Mississippi, Gabrielle Hernandez (Brandon) of Starkville Mississippi, Erin Carpenter, Megan Carpenter, and Kristen Carpenter, all of Hampton, AR, Nicklaus Mooneyhan (Makenzie) of Conway, AR, Carissa Woodall (Garrett) of Paragould, AR, Cassidy Mooneyhan of South Dakota, Cody Mooneyhan and Spencer Mooneyhan of Jonesboro, AR, Jacquelynn Carpenter of Memphis, Tennessee, Jordan Mooneyhan, Jared Mooneyhan, Joseph Mooneyhan, Jonathan Mooneyhan, Jayden Mooneyhan, and Juliana Mooneyhan all of Lakeland, Tennessee, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

            Visitation is 1:00 P.M. Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Heber Springs Funeral Home followed the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Lee Brown and Reverend Beauford Rash officiating. The interment is at Egner Cemetery in Salado, Arkansas immediately following the service.  

            Pallbearers are Nicklaus Mooneyhan, Cody Mooneyhan, Jonathan Headley, Jared Mooneyhan, Joseph Mooneyhan, and Jonathan Mooneyhan.

            Honorary Pallbearers are Spencer Mooneyhan, Jordan Mooneyhan, and Jayden Mooneyhan.
