Sophia Marie Shacklett, age 93, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. She was born on January 15, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles W. Flynn and Laura White Flynn. She was a member of Holiday Hills Methodist Church in Greers Ferry, Arkansas. 

Marie loved to go bowling, play Bridge, and go walking. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and all her grandchildren every moment she could.   

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Sims Shacklett; her parents; and seven siblings. 

She is survived by two daughters, Caryn Chambers (Richard) of Greers Ferry, Arkansas and Linda Calmes of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Stephen Fleming, Lynsie Boles, and Michael Chambers; and four great-grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. 

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at McLehaney Higden Cemetery in Higden, Arkansas. Pastor Dan Brand will officiate.
