Linda Mary (Sanders) Wells

Linda Mary Wells, age 93, of Edgemont, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at her home. She was born April 30, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late W. Ray Sanders and Eloise Russ.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Mark B. Wells; her son, Dean Wells; a grandson, Joseph F. Johnson; her parents, W. Ray and Eloise Sanders; and two sisters, Stella Bucknam and Georgia Sanders.

She is survived by her daughter, Lucille Lund of Los Alamos, New Mexico; sister, Berta Barker; granddaughter, Angela Taylor; great-grandchildren, Dillon Kohman, Anthony Kohman, and Silas Lain; and great-great-grandson, Titus Kohman.

Linda was the oldest private resident of Los Alamos, New Mexico where she had a fall-out shelter in her home. She was instrumental on opening privately owned land in Los Alamos. She was known as the actress of Los Alamos light opera. She volunteered at the Los Alamos Ski Club and a part of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Linda had a passion for her family and was an advocate of formal education. She was determined and resourceful in everything she did. Linda loved to climb high points, sail on a sailboat, snow ski, carpentry work, and build houses. She was a master gardener, a seamstress, horse trainer, an expert in Bit O’ Sweden etiquette training, an avid book reader, and loved blueberry Eggo waffles. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
