Linda Sue (Gray) Hulse Obituary
Linda (Keaton) Hulse passed away the morning of March 12, 2025 at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Born September 28, 1940, in Texas, Linda was a military daughter who moved about with family, eventually settling in Jacksonville, Arkansas, where she graduated high school, Class of 1958.
Linda worked as an admin. assistant while raising two cherished children with her first husband William “Bill” Keaton. Later she became a sales rep for various furniture and mfg. companies and wed Henry Hulse, of New Iberia, Louisiana. Married 36 years, their mutual careers in furniture sales had them regularly relocating to communities in the south/southeast United States, challenging family/friends/USPS to keep track of their address changes. Linda was an avid Razorback fan (the kind that doesn’t miss a televised game, has a Hogs crockpot, lamp, alarm clock, and fight song bottle opener). Despite Henry’s love for LSU, he “converted” to Arkansas, they enjoyed years in Cabot, and ultimately found “home” in Heber Springs among friends in the pines.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jack” Gray and Frankie Emogene (Kelly) Gray; her daughter, Melanie Moore (Gene); her brother, James Gray (Linda); her stepdaughter, Dana Hulse Barr; and her dear friend, Nina Keaton Brocchus (Bob).
Linda is survived by her husband, Henry Hulse; son Bret Keaton (Andrea); stepsons, Randy Hulse (Kim), Bryan Hulse (Heather), and Matthew Hulse (Michele); grandchildren, Daniel Bruce, Noah Simms, Spencer Barr, Marvin “Jamie” Barr, Claire Keaton Paul, Malcom Bruce, Emily Keaton Gankofskie, Marilee Hulse, Audrey Rose Hulse, Ramey Hulse and Ellery Hulse; six great- grandchildren; nephew, Jason Gray; and many former family close to her heart.
Linda will be remembered for her smile (so easily shared), her compassion for others, and her devotion to Henry, family and close friends.
