Mr. Lee Harold Ford age 81 of Heber Springs passed away September 11, 2019.He was born April 25, 1938 in Tokolon, Arkansas to the late Samuel Paul and Alta Brewer Ford. He attended grade school at Prairie View, Arkansas and Scranton High School in Scranton, Arkansas. He was a 23 year Air Force Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and retiring from the military in 1980.
Lee moved to the Greers Ferry Lake area in 1982 making Cleburne County his home.
Mr. Ford loved caring for his dogs and being a good provider for his family. He had a unique ability for arranging and keeping things in order. He had a distinguished military career retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant from the US Air Force. During his time in the service he was in charge of loading people and cargo on the Air Force One presidential plane.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Marshal Paul Ford, Zane B. Ford and James E. Ford; one sister, Glenna May Ford Cooke; a niece Mary Jo Beinge; and a nephew John David Ford.
Mr. Ford is survived by his wife Dorothy Louise Adcox Ford whom he married October 19, 1984; one step-son, Scot Bullington; nieces, Sara Ford, Susan Delamora, Stephanie Jolliff and Marilyn Joliff; three nephews, George Joliff, Greg Cooke, Jerry Cooke and many friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2019 at Heber Springs Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service will be held after the memorial gathering concludes at Heber Springs Cemetery Pallivion with military honors conducted by the Jacksonville Air Force Honor Guard.
