Mr. Lawrence (Lon) Finley Littlejohn age 83 of Heber Springs went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2019. Born September 16, 1935 in Joliet, Illinois, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Helen Hinton Littlejohn. He was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Greers Ferry, Arkansas and a U. S. Army veteran. He retired from Amoco Chemical and also worked at Aromatique.
Lon was an accomplished trombone player and won numerous championships. He enjoyed jazz music, reading, and White Sox baseball. Lon loved his family and the Lord. He was a wonderful husband, father and Grandpa.
Lon was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Sandy Shonhoft, a brother; James Littlejohn and brother-in-law; Pete Robbins.
Survivors include his wife; Carol Palmer Littlejohn whom he married March 8, 2008, One daughter: Judi (Greg) Wermer of Joliet, Illinois, One son; Mark (Barb) Littlejohn of Joliet, Illinois, One stepson; Daniel (Lauryl) Recker of Heber Springs, Arkansas, one stepdaughter; Tammy (Larry) Clausen, three sisters; Patsy (Chuck) Lundeen of Joliet, Illinois, Estell (Fritz) Peters of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, Sharon Peters of El Tora, California, one brother; Fred Littlejohn from Lelystav, Holland, and one sister-in-law Judy Robbins. six grandchildren; Joey Littlejohn, Frank (Jordan) Littlejohn, Andrew Wermer and fiancé Alex, Brandon and Justin Clausen and Callum Recker; 1 great grandchild Blair Littlejohn.
Memorial Service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at West Side First Baptist Church in Greers Ferry, Arkansas.
