Obituary

Kermit Alfred Gagne, age 80, passed away at The Springs of Greers Ferry in Heber Springs on Friday, August 18, 2023. He was born in Ludlow, Massachusetts on April 9, 1943 to the late Kermit Francis Gagne and Marguerite Martin Gagne. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Kermit was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Gene, daughter, Kimberly Michelle Gagne, and his parents.

He is survived by a son, Nathan Lee Gagne (Amber) of Wilburn, Arkansas, a daughter, Tammy Darlene Moore; seven grandchildren, Casey, Caleb, Drew, Christopher, Jody, Drake, and Sampson; and five great-grandchildren.

Kermit worked as a correctional officer for Orleans Parrish Prison. He loved New Orleans and Mardi Gras. He loved listening to music and was a huge fan of the Clements Tigers, and New Orleans Saints. He was a Free Mason and a devout Catholic. He had an upstanding respect for the Jewish community. He loved his family and everyone loved him. He will be greatly missed.
