Kathryn (Kathy) Virginia Boysen, age 84, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away on December 27, 2025. Born May 8, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Doranne Virginia and Philip Charles Forster. Kathy married her high school sweetheart, the late William (Bill) George Boysen on June 17, 1961.

Kathy graduated from Libertyville High school in Libertyville, Illinois. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother of four children. She was a homemaker and, after her children were grown, worked at the Lake Forest Hospital Resale Shop. She lived in Libertyville, Illinois, until she and her husband moved to Heber Springs in 1996. 

Kathy was a member of St. Albert’s Catholic church in Heber Springs. She taught water aerobics and line dancing in Heber Springs for many years. She was involved with TOPS and reached their highest level, KOPS.

Her hobbies included boating, RVing, water exercise, line dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy enjoyed watching butterflies in her butterfly garden and collecting birdhouses. She LOVED eating chocolate and enjoyed playing card games and watching the Game Show Network.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Boysen; her brother Phil Forster; and her grandson Kevin Petto.

Survivors include her children: Willie (Denise) Boysen; Tina (Wayne) Koepke; Brian (Missy) Boysen; and Tami (Eric) Petto; her siblings: Tom (Linda) Forster; Bob (Elizabeth) Forster; Ray (Sandy) Forster; and Marian (Ted) Garcia; and her grandchildren Heather Boysen; Brandon (Kate), Lexa, and Jason (Marie) Koepke; Erin, Brian Jr. (Anson), and Brad Boysen and Jessica Wettstein.
