Karen Denise (Gilliland) Tompsett Obituary
Karen Tompsett was born December 31, 1953 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Rose Gilliland; and her husband, Timothy Tompsett.
She is survived by her daughter, Darcy Hogan; her brothers, Hubert and Dale Gilliland; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She retired from the Arkansas Forestry Commission. After retiring, she became an active member of both the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She held several positions in both organizations. She and Beverly handmade hundreds of cards for veterans over several years.
She loved reading and crafts. She was quick-witted, laughed often, and loved hard. She had a heart for people, especially veterans. She was quirky and did things her own way. She was incredibly organized, but was fashionably late.
Visitation is 11:00 AM, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Heber Springs Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 PM. The interment is at Spires Cemetery in Damascus, Arkansas.
