Johnny Stair Obituary

Johnny V Stair of Drasco, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 24, 2024. He left this world with his faithful buddy and best friend, “Hank”, by his side.

Johnny was born on September 12, 1963 to wonderful parents, Verdell and Linda Stair. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Amos and Ester Stair, Willie and Rose Defoor, and his father-in-law, Carl Philamlee.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Sheila Philamlee Stair, his precious daughter, Carlee Stair, and two “God gifted” daughters, whom he loved as his own, Kayla Clark and Cate Pittman, her husband Chris, and daughters Mia and Willow Pittman. Johnny is survived by his sister, Joanna Kingston, her husband, Randy, nephews, Matthew Kingston and wife Meaghan, Mark Kingston and wife Savanah, a niece, Hadley Claire Kingston, an uncle, Joe Defoor, mother-in-law, Betty Philamlee, brother-in-law, Kerry Philamlee and many other relatives and many friends.

Johnny attended Friendship Freewill Baptist Church in Rose Bud, Arkansas.

Johnny worked in factory maintenance and engineering for all of his adult life, while also maintaining his cattle farm.

Johnny was a hardworking man. If the sun was up, there was still work to be done.  His idea of a vacation was bailing hay. He could build or fix anything. God blessed him with many talents. He eagerly helped his neighbors and friends anytime they needed help. He made sure his family had all the things they wanted or needed. He put their wishes before his own. He was a selfless husband, father, and friend. Johnny loved his family dearly.

He enjoyed hunting, looking for arrowheads, and especially fishing and riding around on the farm with his sister and best friend, Joanna.

He and Carlee both had a love for Broncos. He had planned to rebuild his old Bronco when he retired. Maybe God had one waiting for him to ride down the streets of Gold.
