Jeffie Leonard Morris Obituary

Jeffie Leonard Morris, 75, of Drasco, Arkansas went home to rest on Friday, May 24, 2024 at White River Health in Batesville, Arkansas. He was born on December 8, 1948 in Harrisburg Arkansas to the late Delton Edward Morris Sr. and Dorothy Ray McCracken. 


Jeffie lived in Harrisburg all of his life until he joined the Navy in 1969 where he was an ordinance mechanic on the USS Roosevelt.  Jeffie and Connie Married in 1970, raised four children, and spent 54 years of life together. Prior to retiring he was a diesel mechanic for 40 years. Known to most as J.L., he enjoyed fishing, antique cars, and just sitting and visiting with friends and family, laughing and telling tales. His greatest joy was his children and great-grandchildren. 


Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three sisters; Amelia Morris, Maxine Parker, Brenda Brown, Bud Morris, and Joey Barker; and one great-grandson, Sawyer Issac Morgan. 


Jeff is survived by his wife, Connie, of the home; daughter, Kim Tribble (Bill) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; sons, Randy Morris (Shay) of Wilburn, Arkansas, Jason Morris (Kim) of Drasco, Arkansas, and Corey Morris of Drasco, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Hazel Brecheen, Portia Taylor, and Holly Sutherland all of Banner, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends. He will be greatly missed. 


A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Family Home, 994 Wolf Bayou Rd., Drasco, AR 72530
