James Albert Miller, age 90, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 14, 1934 in Rector, Arkansas to the late William Edgar Miller and Pearl M. Edwards Miller. He was a member of Cleburne County Baptist Church. 

James grew up in a period of time when the only work that seemed to exist was hard work. He was taught at an early age to work hard and did so throughout his life and instilled that quality in his family in which he loved dearly. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, his children and grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Dedra Walters of Ceres California. 

James is survived by his wife, Augustine Miller of Quitman, Arkansas; sons, Rudy Miller (Victoria) of Quitman, Arkansas and Shannon Miller (Kristen) of Quitman, Arkansas; daughter, Renee Conn (Gary) of Modesto, California; grandchildren, RJ Miller, Andrew Miller, Corrie Randall, Ashleigh Breedlove, Austin Miller, Shane Miller, and Michael Miller; great-grandchildren, Maison Cole Miller, Saylor Allen James Miller, Makenna Randall, and Simon Randall; and many extended family members and wonderful friends. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. 

Visitation is 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Heber Springs Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at Magness Cemetery in Wilburn, Arkansas. Pastor Tim Crumpton is officiating.
