James Roland Bloxom

James Roland Bloxom, age 68, of Heber Springs, passed away November 18, 2021 at Unity Health Medical Center in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born on October 19, 1953 to the late Lodrick Boyd Bloxom and Joy Marie Price Bloxom in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas.

James was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed watching sports with his boys, rooting for the Arkansas Razorbacks, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent a lot of time on the front porch, waving at the neighbors as they passed. In his early days he enjoyed working on race cars and dirt track racing at the Batesville Speedway. He spent lots of hours hunting in the deer woods, and loved to fish.  He loved his family and friends. And I’m pretty sure there was never a bigger John Wayne fan.  

James is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Bloxom; and one sister, Barbara Honeycutt.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marsha Lynn Johnston Bloxom; three sons, Robert Bloxom of Heber Springs, Cory Bloxom (Amanda) of Heber Springs, and Neal Bloxom of Heber Springs; five grandchildren, Timothy Bloxom, Miles Baker, Harley Baker, Kensley Bloxom, and Jayden Christine Bloxom; and many extended family and friends.
