Jessie "Jake" D. Lumpkin, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at his residence in Rose Bud, Arkansas. He was born June 14, 1966 in Helena, Arkansas, the son of the late Jessie D. Lumpkin, Sr. and Karen Kay Stout Nichols. He was employed as a pipe fitter for Siemans Company and a member of White Oak Church of Christ.
He loved being outdoors, his hobbies included bass and crappie fishing, and deer and duck hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking. He dearly loved his family especially his grandson. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Lycene Buck and step-mother-in-law, Faye Buck.
Jake is survived by his wife, Darlene Buck Lumpkin whom he married May 28, 1993; one son, Bradley Lumpkin (Samantha) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Jodi Lumpkin of Rose Bud, Arkansas; one brother, Chad Lumpkin (Mandy) of Drasco, Arkansas; sister, Courtney Nichols of Conway, Arkansas; one grandson, Jasper Cole Lumpkin and many friends.
There will be a visitation 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel prior to the service at 2:00 pm with Bro. Mike Permenter officiating. Interment will be in Rose Bud Cemetery. Arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home.
