Huston Duane Ashley, 83, of Drasco, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2025. A retired minister and real estate agent, Huston devoted his life to serving his community and his family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Ashley, Iley (Rainbolt) Ashley; two brothers Dowice Ashley, Jerry Lynn Ashley; and one sister Nola Faye (Ashley) Williams. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon Kay Ashley; three daughters, Donna Ashley of Drasco, Carla Scarbrough James (Chris) of Searcy, and Jill Sartain (Scott) of Ida; and seven cherished grandchildren, Zachary Sartain, Brandon Sartain, Nicholas Sartain, Ashlyn Kate Scarbrough, Molly (James) Gage, Gracie (James) Myers, and Devin Scarbrough; one brother, Jimmy (Bernice) Ashley; and a sister, Shirley (Ashley) Hipp. 

Huston dedicated his life to serving God and others. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he spent many years in ministry, faithfully sharing the Gospel and touching countless lives through his preaching and singing. 

Huston had a deep love for life and simple pleasures, including cheering on the Razorbacks in basketball and football. He had a gentle heart and a giving spirit. He was also deeply loved and respected by his real estate family at McKenzie Realty Group in Heber Springs, Arkansas, where he built lasting friendships and shared his faith and humor with colleagues and clients alike. He will be remembered not just for what he did, but for the love he gave so freely. His legacy of compassion, faith, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.  

A celebration of Huston’s life will be held at Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, Arkansas on Thursday, November 6th, at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Lancaster-Verser Cemetery in Woodrow, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
