Henry Helton Kelley, age 85, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was born in Warfield (Perry County), Tennessee May 7, 1936, the son of the late John Robert Kelley and Ida Mae Lomax Kelley. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Heber Springs Pine Street Church of Christ.
Henry was a tow boat captain employed by Midsouth Towing for many years and enjoyed his work on the river. He loved his wife and family, enjoyed helping his neighbors, and spending time on his farm.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Irene Kelley; his parents; two brothers, Clemmy Kelley and Clenard Kelley; two sisters, Ruby Inman and Rada Brashier; and a son, Johnny Fridell.
Survivors include one son, Stevie Fridell (Betty) of St. Charles, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Kacy Dawson (Tim) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Rebecca Fridell of St. Charles, Arkansas, Steven Fridell of Clarendon, Arkansas, and Ashley Tice (Eric) of Searcy, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Kelley Dawson, John Paul (J.P.) Dawson, Lucy Tice, and Brody Tice; three nieces, five nephews, and many friends.
Graveside services will be conducted for Henry and Irene Kelley at 10:30 am, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Good Springs Cemetery with Steve Reeves officiating.
Arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home.
