Helen Francis Childs

Helen Francis Childs, age 89, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away March 3, 2021 at Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab. She was born November 3, 1931 to the late William B. Hatley and Mayme E. Hall Hatley. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs.

Helen was a fun loving, gentle soul who loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reo Childs; her daughter,  Elizabeth Berry, and her husband Bob; her son, Richard Evans; two sisters, Marybeth Mercogliano and Virginia Hall; and one brother, William Hatley.

Survivors include: Daughter, Holly Honeycutt; grandchildren, Ashley Sherman (Rodney) and Randy Honeycutt; Great Grandchildren, Madison Evans and Cameron Sherman; Great-Great Grandchild, Layla Norman; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Heber Springs Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Rushing and Gene Warren officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time.  Interment will be at approximately 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Heber Springs Funeral Home, 1199 Wilburn Road, Heber Springs, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals on Wheels at Cleburne County Agency on Aging, 1024 Wilburn Road, Heber Springs, AR 72543.
