Glenn Pitts Obituary

Glenn Edward Pitts, age 84, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away October 22, 2018. Born January 6th, 1934 in Milledgeville, Tennessee he was the son of the late Granville Eber and Strawdie Ellis Pitts. Mr. Pitts was a retired Memphis, Tennessee police officer and a United States Army Veteran.

His hobbies included dove hunting and fishing. Due to the fact that his grandfathers served in the Civil War he was Civil War buff.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Juliet Jackson, Alice Pylant and Ann Betts.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Claire Johnston Pitts whom he married August 8, 1959; one son, Glenn Edward Pitts, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter, Andrea Claire Pitts of South Carolina; one brother, Jerry E. Pitts and wife Pam of Louisiana and many friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Heber Springs Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 3:00 pm, Friday, October 26, 2018 at Odom’s Cemetery in Milledgeville, Tennessee with Brother Tommy Toombs officiating.
