Glenn Dale Carlton Obituary

Glenn Dale Carlton, 71, of Prim, Arkansas, passed peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. 


Glenn was born on September 17, 1954 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He married Marjorie Dianne (Lamberson) on August 2, 1974. He started working at Olivetti Sawmill at the age of 17 and then started his career in manufacturing at Aeroquip in Heber Springs. This led his family to Versailles, Kentucky in 1989 to YH America, where they resided until 1999. He retired from F.L. Davis Hardware in Greers Ferry in 2024. An avid craftsman, he enjoyed woodworking and going to craft shows. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son, brothers, and grandchildren. 


He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Ray Carlton and nephew, Bennett Smith. He is survived by his mother, Lola Marie (Birdsong) Carlton of Prim Arkansas; wife of 51 years, Marjorie Dianne (Lamberson) Carlton; son, Daymon Carlton and wife Jennifer of Prim, Arkansas; daughter, Diandra Verser and husband, Jim of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; grandchildren, Destiny Henderson, Ella Carlton, Makayla Henderson, Brody Henderson, Gage Verser, Waverly Verser, Elisabeth Carlton, and Piper Verser; brother, Darvin Carlton and wife, Vicky; brother, Kevin Carlton and wife, Shawn; sister, Michelle Blasi and husband, Lance; sister, Leah Baker and husband, Ryan; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones. 


Visitation is 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, October 17, 2025 at Hilltop Holiness Church in Prim, Arkansas. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Hilltop Holiness Church followed by the interment at Everett Ridge Cemetery in Prim. 


Pallbearers are Briggs Carlton, Adam Carlton, Ross Carlton, Judson Smith, Noah Stubbs, and Samuel Stubbs.
