Glenda Sue Price, 77, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at Southridge Nursing & Rehab. She was born on July 16, 1947, in Empire, Arkansas, to Joe Nathaniel (JN) and Dorothy Wolfe Avery.

Sue worked for many years in factory and office jobs, but it was in her later years that she truly found her calling, caring for others. She worked as a preschool teacher, in the dietary department at Southridge, and as a caregiver for the White River Area Agency on Aging. Sue was also known for her love of cooking, knitting, and sewing, and found joy in spending time with her family, as well as the friends she made at Southridge.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents; two brothers, Jesse and Roy Linn Avery; and her sister, Patty Mathis.

She is survived by her sons, Greg Price (Katy) of Hamburg, AR, and Bryan Price (Leslie) of Heber Springs; a niece she considered a daughter, Ginger Brainerd of Heber Springs; four grandsons, Blane (Jessica) Price of Quitman, AR, Cody (Christy) Price of Lake Providence, LA, Gunner and Gage Price (Corrie) of Hamburg, AR; six granddaughters, Cierra and Mesa Price (Jesus) and Kylie Gwin of Hamburg, AR, Paige and Hope Price, and Jessica (Cameron) Evans of Heber Springs; eleven great-grandchildren: Brooklynn, Hayden, Grayson, Couvr, Claira, Corinne, and Charlotte Price, Callie Ray and Aurora Blankenship, and Chloe and Chase Evans; one sister, Mary (Don) Cranford of Heber Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Heber Springs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM, also at Heber Springs Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Hopewell.

Sue’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. She will be remembered for her love, kindness, and devotion to those she cared for.
