Our Lord has gained a new angel. Ginger Galt Rousseau passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, on November 6, 2025.

Ginger was born in Little Rock on March 13, 1959, to Maxwell Galt and Mildred Toliver Galt. She graduated from Heber Springs High School in 1977. She was the loving mother of two children - Jennifer and Daniel Jr. 

Ginger married Denis Rutledge on March 24, 1979, and together they had a daughter, Jennifer. She later married Daniel Rousseau on January 31, 1987, and together they welcomed a son, Daniel Jr. Ginger and Daniel Sr. shared 38 years of marriage. 

Ginger retired in 2017 after a 32-year career serving the City of Little Rock and the Pulaski County Courts. She loved being in nature and spent as much time outdoors as she could. Her devotion to her family was her greatest gift. She was immensely proud of her children, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter, and she loved them with every fiber of her being. It would be difficult to find someone kinder than Ginger - she always gave and never asked for anything in return. 

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Rousseau Sr.; her children, Jennifer (Pete) Lenhausen and Daniel Rousseau Jr.; her granddaughter, Marissa Altman; and her great-granddaughter, Fiala. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Galt Nelling. 

Ginger was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Robert M. Galt Jr.

A Visitation will be held at Heber Springs Funeral Home, 1199 Wilburn Rd., Heber Springs, AR 72543, at 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 12, 2025 with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00pm followed by the interment at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens in Heber Springs.  

In honor of Ginger’s memory, the family invites those attending to wear purple or include a touch of it, as it was her favorite color and a reflection of her beautiful spirit.
