Gerald Don Boyd

Gerald Boyd was born June 7th, 1936 at home in Rose Bud, Arkansas. He passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 87, September 7th, 2023 while at Conway Baptist. He spent 67 beautiful years with his wife Claudine Boyd by his side.

He was known for his amazing ability to lay a hardwood floor. A skill that he has passed on through generations of his family. He loved anything having to do with a retro car, throwing a line to catch the next big one, and the occasional ski trip.

Gerald Boyd had an amazing smile that shined the brightest when he was surrounded by loved ones. He was a friend to all, and loved by any who new him. He would give the shirt off his back if needed, and always had time for a chat with a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Claudine Boyd; his children, Donna Hance, Cheryl Griggs, Christopher Boyd, and Tina Boyd-Guffey; sister, Hazel Donelson; brothers, Lyndell Boyd, and Gary Boyd; 9 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. He is preceded by his parents, Granville and Lorene Boyd; and his brother, Ronny Boyd.

Visitation is 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at South Crossroads Church in Hopewell, Arkansas followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. The interment is at South Crossroads Cemetery in Hopwell, Arkansas. Landon Dutton is officiating.
