Georgia Rae (Bittle) Decker Obituary

Georgia Rae Decker, born on January 25, 1933, in Woodrow, Arkansas, was the daughter of the late Henry Gordon Bittle and Blanche Evans Bittle. She departed this world to be with the Lord on July 27, 2025.  She married her beloved husband, the late Rev. F. L. Decker, on November 24, 1950. A pastor’s wife for over 30 years, her life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion, and she leaves behind a remarkable legacy that touched countless lives.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three siblings, Wanda Harlan, Loy Bittle, and Walter Bittle, as well as two grandsons, Seth Decker and Lee Martin. She is lovingly survived by her four children: Dwight Decker (Cendy) of Bee Branch, AR; Eric Decker (Joann) of Bald Knob, AR; Raenena Reeves (Wayne) of Tumbling Shoals, AR; and Rebecca Martin (Karl) of Drasco, AR.  Additionally, she is survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, many of whom affectionately knew her as Mamaw Tendo due to her love for Nintendo video games.

For 30 years, Georgia was a dedicated member of Sunny Slope General Baptist Church, where she cherished her faith community.  She found great joy in spending time with her family and grandchildren, cooking for anyone who visited, collecting keychains, and gospel singing.  Though Georgia is no longer with us, her spirit continues through the love and faith she instilled in her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her legacy lives on in the many cherished memories we hold in our hearts. We rejoice in knowing that she is now united with her Lord and Savior, and we look forward to seeing her again on the joyous day of His return.
